How to Delete Your Account
You can request account deletion using any of the following methods:
Through the App
- 1 Open the Shamia Co-op app
- 2 Go to Settings (gear icon)
- 3 Scroll to the Account section
- 4 Tap Delete Account
- 5 Confirm your decision in the dialog
- 6 Your account deletion request will be processed
By Email
Send an email to support@shamiyacoop.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name as registered in the app
By Phone
Call us at +965 1877788 during support hours and request account deletion.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted within 30 days:
Personal Profile Information
Name, email, phone, Civil ID
Wallet Balance & Loyalty Points
All balances and accumulated points
Order History & Delivery Addresses
All past orders and saved addresses
Membership Card Data
Your digital membership card
Notification Preferences & Settings
All app configuration and preferences
Support Tickets
All support conversations and tickets
Family Card Member Information
All linked family member data
Data We May Retain
Under Kuwait commercial and tax regulations, we may retain the following for up to 7 years:
Financial Transaction Records
Purchases, payments, refunds
Shareholder Records
Shares, dividends, profit distributions
Tax-Related Documentation
Required tax compliance records
This retained data is kept solely for legal compliance and will not be used for any other purpose.
Important Notes
Please Read Before Proceeding
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
- Any remaining wallet balance will be forfeited unless withdrawn before deletion.
- If you are a shareholder, please contact us to discuss share liquidation before deleting your account.
- You will be logged out of all devices immediately upon deletion.
